  • CBSE has introduced a new scheme to bring the uniformity in the system of assessment and examination for classes IX and X in all CBSE affiliated schools. To increase the confidence in the students to start preparing for class X Board examination when they join the Upper Primary stage in class VI, the CBSE has decided to implement the uniform system of assessment, examination pattern and issue of report cards for classes VI to VIII also in the similar pattern. The scheme for classes VI- VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the student move forward.

  • The assessment structure comprises of two areas Scholastic area: - This includes three Periodic tests, Half Yearly Examination (for VI-VIII), Annual Examination, Note Book Submission and Subject Enrichment Activities.Co Scholastic Area: - For the holistic development of the student, cocurricular activities will be graded in Work Education, Art Education, Health & Physical Education. 3..In addition to the above, the students will also be assessed for Discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behavior, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others..

  • The CBSE has restored Board Examination for class X and revised assessment structure and examination for class X from Academic Year 2017-18 onwards. This new scheme will bring the uniformity in the system of assessment and examination for classes IX and X in all the CBSE affiliated schools. To increase the confidence in the students to start preparing for class X Board examination when they join the upper primary stage in class VI, the CBSE has decided to implement the uniform system of assessment, examination pattern and issue of report cards for classes VI to VIII also on the similar pattern. While keeping in view the provisions of Right to Education Act, 2009, the scheme for classes VI-VIII has been designed on Term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the students move forward. This would prepare the students to cover the whole syllabus of the academic year and face the challenge of class X Board examination, and would thus, ensure the ‘quality of education’.

    • AN ACADEMIC YEAR WILL HAVE TWO TERMS: -

      An Academic year will have two terms: -

      • Board exam will be conducted for 80 marks in each subject

      • The student has to secure 33 % marks in each subject and 20% from internal assessment

      • The grading system will be same as followed in class XII

      • 3 Periodic tests will be conducted in each subject

      • Average of best two tests will be taken for final mark submission

      • Notebook submission carries 5 marks which will be based on neatness, regularity and assignment completion

      • In information technology 50 marks is based on practical assessment and 50 is from theory exam

      • Marks are provided for subject enrichment activities which include the following:

      • Speaking and listening skills in languages

      • Science lab activities

      • Maths lab activities

      • Map work and project work

    Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes IX & X)

    For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas will be carried out :

    • Work Education : Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in services to the community

    • Services: Social useful to the community

    • Art Education : This includes Visual & Performing Art

    • Health and Physical Education : This includes Sports , Martial Arts or Yoga etc.
